Additional Information
This 10-part series will feature 1-hour webinars monthly, focusing on understanding how biological, psychological, social, and environmental factors comprise the totality of a person and how these fluid interactions present as behavior. The series will focus on approaches to identifying the behavioral presentations of chronic and acute medical issues.
The word is out and we all know that we have an aging ID/RD population that is in need of changing supports. This comes with changes in the behavioral presentations of an aging demographic, but also new medical diagnoses related to aging, such as dementia. Understanding how to recognize and manage these needs, especially related to behavior, is critical to successful aging for people with ID/RD.
